Once I got to my car, I cranked up the air conditioning and just sat there for what seemed like forever.
At the height of summer, getting to the office is the highlight of our afternoon. At this time, business is booming. Our days start as early as possible, and sometimes I have to do some work at home. Many shoppers seeking modern homes prefer searching when it’s nice and hot outside, but no one wants to walk around during winter; That’s why I always get ready for tied up schedules once Springtime is in full swing. Our office is quite comfy and has the best air conditioning. The head of our branch decided to install a modern HVAC device last winter. So you can imagine my shock when I stepped into an office that felt like a sauna last Wednesday. It was so hot that all the people were fanning themselves with some sheets of paper. Apparently, the modern heating and cooling system had broken down the previous night. Now the whole office was hot plus humid. The device had been a lifesaver since it operated as an A/C plus a humidifier, but without it, I felt all the humidity. I tried to power through the afternoon without a functioning commercial ventilator. The air conditioning repair company was booked up and would not get to our office until the following morning. But, all the effort was futile since the intense humidity made all of the employees feel lethargic. All I wanted was some cool air. The office fan only made things worse since it was circulating the same air. After a few hours, some of us all offered to work from home. Once I got to my car, I cranked up the air conditioning and just sat there for what seemed like forever. The cool air on my body was the best feeling ever. I felt so grateful I’d remembered to get the car air conditioning repaired just a week before. The HVAC business had changed out our filters during that repair check.
