At the height of summer, getting to the office is the highlight of my day.
At this time, company is booming. Our days start as early as possible, and at times I have to do some work at home. Many purchasers seeking modern homes like searching when it’s nice and warm outside. No one wants to walk around during the winter! That’s why we always get ready for booked up schedules once Spring is in full swing. Our office is quite comfy and has the best cooling system. The head of our branch decided to install a modern HVAC unit last winter. So you can imagine my shock when I stepped into a furnace last Sunday. It was so hot that everyone was fanning themselves with folders and sheets of paper. Apparently, the modern heating and cooling system had broken down the previous night. Now the whole office was hot and humid. The unit had been a lifesaver since it operated as an AC plus a humidifier, and without it, I felt all of the humidity. We tried to power through the day without a functioning commercial ventilator. The HVAC company was backed up and would not get to our office until the following afternoon. But, all the effort was futile since the intense humidity made everyone feel lethargic. All we wanted was some cool air. The office fan only made things worse since it was circulating the same hot air. After a couple hours, we all decided to just leave and work from home that day. Once I got to my car, I cranked up the AC and just sat there for what seemed like forever. The cool air on my body was the best feeling ever. I felt so grateful that I had remembered to visit my car AC repair company just a month before. The car HVAC professional had changed out our filters while in that service check.
