The older you get, the more your immediate priorities change when it comes to relationships.
I guess that when I was younger, I guess our single greatest problem was how cute the boy was and how cute both of us could actually look together.
I did not honestly guess about compatibility or sharing life responsibilities – but I also didn’t guess what those were yet. I thought life would be self-explanatory and I assumed that everything would just task itself out if both of us enjoyed each other enough. It turns out, nope. Love is a lot more complicated than attraction and expectation. I have learned this the hard way. In fact, at this point, I’m so jaded when it comes to relationships that I am way more interested in practical matters than attraction, and when I start dating someone, these afternoons I would rather guess about their financial management, money handling skills, and interest in household appliances than their number one locales to eat… However recently, I started seeing somebody current and started right away talking about his philosophy behind heating and air conditioning equipment. I guess it was different when I inquired if he had a smart thermostat or an old-university dial thermostat… But I wanted to guess if he had an indoor air temperature control plan already programmed at his house. I was just feeling curious if he respectfully called out a heating and air conditioning corporation to inspect and professionally repair his central heating and cooling system. I honestly needed to guess how he felt about energy efficiency, energy star ratings, and carefully monitoring our weekly heating and cooling device usage… But unfortunately, at the end of the first date, I needed to guess if both of us share heating and air conditioning philosophies so both of us could possibly share a comfortable home together… But obviously he never called me again.
