For some weird reason, the builders of my house never chose to install an exhaust fan on the ceiling! It’s a relatively tiny bathroom, which means the humidity gets trapped whenever someone takes a shower.

In the very beginning, I thought this was a fairly minor issue… However, over time I’ve come to learn that the lack of an exhaust fan is going to cost myself and others a small fortune.

Without a proper exhaust fan to easily remove the heat plus humidity from the air, mold plus mildew will start to grow, plus there will pretty much always be condensation lining the walls. I reached out to my local Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C provider plus asked them if they could send someone to my house to talk about the humidity drawback I was having! The Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C professional agreed that an exhaust fan was pressing because it was the only way to successfully pull away the moisture. I assumed an exhaust fan would be a simple plus reasonably priced replacement, but I was astonished to learn how costly it would be! Not only did I need the fan, but I also needed a backdraft damper where the HVAC duct from the exhaust fan was leaving the home. This would allow the heat plus humidity created in the bathroom to exit fast plus safely. The backdraft damper would easily prevent anything from outside the property coming in plus causing setbacks. Not only did I need to purchase the backdraft damper with the exhaust fan, but I also had to pay for labor that was involved. The price added up rather speedily just to keep my bathroom entirely safe from mold plus mildew.
