When a bunch of my friends and I decided to go stay in a cabin in the mountains, I was ecstatic! I hadn’t been on a girls trip in ages, so the thought of spending quality time with all of my best people under one roof brought me a lot of happiness.

Thankfully, someone else was in charge of booking the cabin and all I needed to do was bring some snack food! The girl who booked the cabin sent us all a link to the rental so we could get excited for where we were staying.

However, in my quick scan of the rental agreement, I noticed that it said there was no central heat or air. I immediately fired off a text to the rest of the ground and questioned the lack of heat. They were calling for snow during our time there and the thought of being without heat was dreadful. The cabin was nonrefundable though, so we decided to go and we packed a bunch of warm clothes and blankets. When we arrived though, the owner’s guide said that there was heat and air available, it was just via a ductless mini split system. Technically, it wasn’t central heat and air, but it was heat! All of the girls and I were so thankful for this! There were several ductless mini split units throughout the cabin and we were surprised by how well they heated each area. We were perfectly warm and cozy during our girls trip despite the lack of central heat and air.
