I chuckled when I thought that at least I made a soft landing
Last week, I quite literally crashed a wedding. The locale that the wedding was being held at was having a concern with their Heating & Air Conditioning system. They called the Heating & Air Conditioning business & requested that someone be sent out to work on the heating. So far, I had only diagnosed private home Heating & Air Conditioning systems & this was going to be a totally new experience for me. When I realized that the concern with the heating was not the oil furnace, however it was the HVAC duct, I called in various other Heating & Air Conditioning techs to help me out. Every one of us needed to go through the entire HVAC duct system & find out if there was a hole anywhere, or if there was a blockage. Since I was the smallest of the numerous of us there, I was elected to crawl around & check out the HVAC duct that was hidden inside the wall & in the attic… Choosing me to do this job was the first big mistake that we made on this job, & possibly the worst. I was doing definitely well as I squished into the wall areas to do a quick check on the HVAC duct enclosed within. When I finally ended up in the attic going over the HVAC duct, everything went wrong. I missed resting on 1 of the main beams, & ended up falling through the ceiling. I chuckled when I thought that at least I made a soft landing. That was when I looked down, & realized that I had landed on the wedding cake. It wasn’t the first time I crashed a wedding, however it was legitimately the most noticeable.
