I got home from work the other day, & I almost fell over as I walked into the house.
It was so unbelievably hot, that I right away broke into a sweat. I couldn’t figure out what was going on or why it was so hot! As the middle of winter, the thermostat was only set at 70, however yet it learn that it was 93 in the house. Walked out onto the porch, pulled out our iPhone, & called the Heating & Air Conditioning business. I laughingly told them that our oil furnace had been possessed while I was gone & the flames of Hades were consuming our home. When the person who answered the iPhone quit laughing she asked me if I needed a fire business or if I needed an Heating & Air Conditioning professional? I told her that the oil furnace had not shut off since I left & it went from 70° up to 93 within 8 minutes. She said she would have an Heating & Air Conditioning tech to our house within an minute. Even though it was only 38° outside, I was sitting on the porch waiting for him when he got there. It only took him a matter of minutes to realize that there was something wrong with her thermostat. He hastily changed the thermostat & put a new 1 in its stadium. Within minutes the oil furnace quit running & the temperature was gradually going down. And I thought about the thermostat. I legitimately would’ve saved myself some money, however it was worth all the money in the world to have the Heating & Air Conditioning tech find the concern & repair it so hastily..
