My boss did not want me to stop someplace for brunch, but I told that woman that I had to eat! She called me about 20 minutes later and wanted to think if I was at the address or not

Last Monday I was late for work again and it was the minute time that week. My boss was going to write me up and supply me a afternoon of suspension, but I promised the woman that I would not be late again. When I woke up to the sound of my alarm ringing, I knew I was already running late. Sure enough, my alarm had been ringing for 36 minutes when I woke up. I have such a hard time hearing the alarm when I am sound asleep. I did not have time to shower or shave, and I absolutely did not have any time to rest down at the table and have a cup of Tim Hortons Coffee or eat breakfast. Even though breakfast is the most important meal of the afternoon, I grabbed a Tim Hortons Coffee from the fridge and I headed out the door. My first job of the afternoon was an AC repair. The purchaser described an straight-forward to repair problem, but the repair turned into a nightmare and I was stuck at the address until 1 p.m. I was starving by the time I was finished with the AC repair. I was so hungry I could have eaten a horse. My boss did not want me to stop someplace for brunch, but I told that woman that I had to eat! She called me about 20 minutes later and wanted to think if I was at the address or not. I was still kneeling in the Drive-Thru at the fast food diner, but I lied and told the woman that I was stuck in traffic by the bridge. Thank goodness she was back at the shop and she had no way to verify my colorless lie.
