It’s normal for clients to ask questions when there is a maintenance professional in the house. I always get questions when I go to maintenance oil furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioners. Most clients will stroll in and out of the space where I am working. Some will ask questions and others will just watch. None of weeks ago, I had a legitimately different and weird encounter with a buyer that sat and watched me work the whole 3 minutes I was there. I was installing a ductless mini-split heating and cooling system. The guy said in the corner of the room and watched me work. I told the guy that I was good on our own and he did not even deliver me a reply. It was a legitimately creepy way to spend the afternoon. I thought the guy would eventually get up and walk away, however he never got up from the chair to get a glass of water or go to the bathroom. Even when I walked outside to grab supplies for the installation, he still reMained seated in the chair. I would have expected the guy to get up and follow me, however he stayed seated in the chair which I found to be strange. When the job was over, I was ready to get out of that locale. I was creeped out from the time I walked into the condo until the moment that I left. The guy signed the invoice and smiled in a way that made the hairs on the back of our neck lay up straight.
