It was clear that the boys were simply not going to be able to cohabitate. All of us had hopes that boys who were only love 18 months apart could get along and share a room. But truthfully, that was some pretty wishful thinking as well. When the two of us bought the lake house the two of us were thinking it’d only be 2 teenagers but then our youngest sort of surprised us. So the 2 boys have been in the same room for 10 years. And there is no peace for dad to like the a/c while good for a minute. It was love total all out and constant bickering or full on fist fights. It was getting to be a bit more than brotherly stuff. So it was clear that if there was ever to be peace inside the quality heating and air of our home, they had to go to separate corners. That meant buying a new lake house or giving up our room in the heating and cooling of our home. And I’m not Greg Brady so no attic, thanks. Couldn’t afford a new house. It was clear that we’d give up our room and add on. This way, the boys wouldn’t kill each other and we’d get our own master suite. Oh and that master suite comes with its own quality heating and air as well. Since the main central a/c couldn’t handle the extra air volume, the two of us have a ductless heat pump. And boy is that thing just about perfect. Plus, it comes with a remote control as well.
