The reason that I want to know when I should update my Heating and A/C units is that I want to prepare for that time

When should I update our Heating and A/C unit? I have entirely no idea how to know when I should update our Heating and A/C unit, and I suppose that it might be important information to know. I own our own home now, and that means that I am totally responsible for the Heating and A/C units. If the Heating and A/C units break down, I have to call the Heating and A/C serviceman to have the Heating and A/C units repaired! This is the first loft that I have ever owned, and before this house, I rented, and that meant that the landlord was responsible for any Heating and A/C units. If the Heating and A/C units were not working officially, I simply contacted the landlord, and the landlord was responsible for calling an Heating and A/C serviceman. Now, I know that it is my responsibility, and I want to take that responsibility truly seriously, then when I bought the house, the furnace and the central cooling system were not new. The Heating and A/C units are legitimately not old, even though I know that I am going to have to update the Heating and A/C units before a decade passes. The reason that I want to know when I should update my Heating and A/C units is that I want to prepare for that time. Are there any warning signs that I should look for concerning my Heating and A/C units that let me know that I only have a few more years left in our Heating and A/C units? If I could figure that out, I could start saving money immediately and be prepared to update our Heating and A/C units when the time comes. I think that I could ask the Heating and A/C serviceman to keep me informed about those things.
