Recently, I ran into a problem with my HVAC system.
I wish that it was something that I could not avoid, however, I totally could have avoided the problem.
To put it simply, I was not changing out my HVAC air filters as regularly as I should have. My HVAC technician had recommended that I change them out once a month. I opted instead to change them out once every other month. I figured if 30 days is the recommended time then 60 days would not be all that bad. I was dead wrong. I started experiencing problems with my air conditioner, and before I knew it, I could no longer rely on it anymore. Hardly any cold air was coming from the air vents. I finally called out the HVAC technician to see what the problem was. It was not a surprise that I had not been changing out the air filters as frequently as I needed to be, and as a result, the internal components of the HVAC system had been clogged with dirt and debris. I ended up having a serious issue with my motor. Long story short, it needed to be replaced entirely! This cost me several hundred dollars. I had been so stupid, and I could have easily avoided this problem if I had simply listened to my HVAC technician’s advice. From that moment forward, I resolved to listen to the HVAC technician’s advice concerning anything that he suggested. That way, I wouldn’t have to pay for such costly repairs ever again!
