Have you ever done things your way and then later discovered that your way was the dead wrong way! Well, that happened to me recently.

That’s why I rely on my HVAC company to take care of all the maintenance and repairs required, so that I don’t have to worry about having cool air in the summer and warm air in the winter. All I really need to do is listen to the HVAC technician’s advice and pay them to keep the unit up and running. Well, it seems I could not do the former part, so, I ended up doing the latter part a lot more than I wanted to. Let me explain. My HVAC technician explicitly told me to change my air filters once a month. Change out the air filters once a month: plain and simple. I guess what I heard is to change out the air filters once every other month because that way I’d save a little money. Little did I know that that was the exact way to end up spending a whole bunch of money needlessly. As you would expect, eventually not changing the air filters as frequently as my HVAC technician suggested ended up being a very bad idea. Before long, my HVAC unit was too clogged and dirty, and it gave out on me. Long story short, my motor was damaged and it needed to be entirely replaced. I was out five hundred bucks for this! Needless to say, from that moment forward, I decided to do whatever my HVAC technician told me to do concerning my climate control system!
