So the HVAC company that I do business with suggested that I change my air filter once a month.
I figured that it wasn’t necessary, and I decided that I would change it every other month instead.
I now see I was quite stupid for this, and it has caught up to me. It has caught up to me because my HVAC system has failed on me as a result of my negligence. The motor burned out because the HVAC system was working too hard. Apparently all that dust and debris that the air filter is supposed to climb down and it up clogging the HVAC system instead. You would think that this simple principle of why changing the air filter is so important would not have eluded me, but, there you go. Because of this catastrophe, I ended up having to replace the motor entirely. I was so foolish for not listening to the HVAC technician. I resolved that for now on, I would listen to whatever my HVAC technician tells me to do. I never want to have to spend hundreds of dollars on such a foolish mistake again. I certainly don’t ever want to have to buy a brand new HVAC system that could have lasted a lot longer if I had not been so negligent.
