Next week I’m going to take an HVAC course, which is my first course in many years, and I’m pretty excited because I’m going to learn about all of the new heating and cooling gadgets and equipment out on the market today.
I need to stay on top of this because it is very important for my job to know everything about all of the latest HVAC equipment, especially when customers come in and ask questions about things. I have a lot of customers coming in every day asking me all kinds of things, so I need to know the answers, or they might just turn around and go to a different HVAC company. I remember somebody came in one day and asked me to help them program a smart thermostat, and I didn’t even know that a smart thermostat was something that was out yet. That was pretty embarrassing and I will never go through that again, so therefore I am taking this course and learning everything I can possibly learn about the HVAC industry in today’s world. The market is always changing and new things are coming out, so you need to constantly be abreast of the latest advancements in technology. I think it is an eight hour course so it should be a breeze to learn all the new stuff out there today. My company is paying for it so I will learn everything for free, and it will help me make more money down the road because I will be a more valuable employee for my boss and the company.
