I just bought a rolling cart for my musical equipment on Amazon, and last night when I used it it was really loud in the streets, so I need to find some kind of solution to quiet the wheels down a little bit.
I’m thinking that I can take a tube from a bike and cut it in small strips and glue it with epoxy onto the surface of the wheels so that it is quieter.
I think the local business near me will have something that I can use to make it quieter. I’m an HVAC equipment engineer and I should be able to figure this out instead of returning the thing, which I don’t like to do because it’s just a waste of time and money for everybody. I used to build heating and cooling equipment, as I was a process engineer and had to figure out solutions to all kinds of things, so this should be a very easy fix. I just don’t want to bother the whole neighborhood when I am carting back my musical equipment at night from my gigs that I’m doing around town. Last night there was somebody running a small portable air conditioner, you know those window units that stick out of the windows, and when I was going by with my cart I could not even hear the air conditioner running because my car was so loud. I do a lot of gigs, so I am constantly going to be using this cart and I don’t want to bother the neighborhood every time I’m going down the streets.
