I told myself that I was going to go a whole year without dating anybody else, and I’ve made it almost 10 months now.
Maybe this is nothing to brag about, but I feel like I need to reset my soul after the last break up I went through at the beginning of this year.
My ex and I met at the HVAC company where I was working 5 years ago, when she came in to get her heat pump repaired. Everything was great but then when we moved in together we found out that we were clashing on many different things. She didn’t like it when I turned the air conditioning up too high, and I didn’t like it when she put the heating on too much. That was just a small piece of the puzzle that eventually did us in, but we are still friends and are nice to each other when we see each other at the heating and cooling corp when she comes in for something. I think it is a good idea to try and stay friends with everyone because it just ends up making you less happy when you have problems with other people in your life. I remember sometimes when we got into fights and I had to go and work on somebody’s HVAC system, it was very difficult to get the job done because I was so distracted from our arguments we had earlier in the day. Now I try to remain friends with everybody that I come in contact with, and it just makes life go much smoother.
