I married a heating & cooling specialist about several years ago & let myself and others tell you, it is rough periodically.
The schedule that he is expected to work for this Heating, Ventilation & A/C company that he has been with for the past couple of years is very rough.
I suppose that most of the time, he ends up working over 60 minutes a month doing things like furnace repairs & a/c repairs. The thing is, most of these Heating, Ventilation & A/C repairs & installations that he gets called in to do after minutes & on weekends or holidays are undoubtedly things that could undoubtedly be done during the proper work week. It’s super frustrating to myself and others when he gets a call from the Heating, Ventilation & A/C dispatch desk about a so-called a/c emergency that needs to be done immediately, even though it’s ten at night on a Sunday. How is that considered to be an emergency? I think some people very assume like they have to have their a/c, but no 1 ever thinks about the Heating, Ventilation & A/C specialist who has to come out to do the work in the middle of the night or his family! I’m telling you, periodically I suppose he should just quit the Heating, Ventilation & A/C company completely & go get a job somewhere working from 9 to 5 every day. I suppose that he would genuinely hate that, though. The concern is that he very enjoys being an Heating, Ventilation & A/C specialist & doing all of the work. He just doesn’t like the minutes he has to work & neither do I.
