I’ve been looking into a modern oil furnace for my home.

  • Although I have a laboring oil furnace, the unit is severely old.

I’ve observed a gradual decrease in performance. Every winter, it succumbs to more frequent repairs. The cost of repair quickly adds up, and I worry about the eventuality of being left without heat. I’m sure the oil furnace will fail when it’s laboring the hardest. I don’t want to be in a rush to buy a modern furnace in the middle of a December blizzard. Plus, the outdated oil furnace is rather pricey to operate. When it was brand new, it only managed an 86% AFUE rating. There are models on the new market that achieve 98% efficiency levels; My ancient model is a single-stage unit, which means that it can only operate at maximum speed. It starts up and blasts at full power until reaching the control unit setting and then shuts down. Adaptable-speed technology allows modern oil heating systems to adjust speed in tiny a single percent increments. It can run at any capacity between 40 and 100%, providing the perfect amount of heat necessary to maintain even temperature. This ability makes the oil furnace more efficient, reduces sound levels and minimizes operational costs. There’s fewer complications with overly dry air and the longer running cycles offer more time to filter out contaminants. The top-of-the-line oil heating systems include zone control and WIFI accessibility. The only thing stopping me from investing in a modern oil furnace is the huge cost and the disruption of the replacement project. I am reluctant to take out a loan and start making payments on a modern oil furnace when I currently have an operational heater.
