I’ve been working remotely from home for the past year, but prior to that, I still had to go into the office every day. I didn’t really mind having to work from the office, but the problem was the indoor air quality in the building that the office was in. The indoor air quality in that building was simply terrible. And it wasn’t terrible just once in a while, either. It was an everyday kind of thing around there. You just never knew what was going to be going on with the heating and cooling system in that building. Of course, the month before we left the office to work remotely, it was summertime and the weather was heating up quite a bit. I remember rushing around and packing things up and trying to get ready to work remotely but the main thing that I remember was how hot it was outside. The temperature outside that week was in the high nineties and I think a couple of days, it even got to be in the triple digits. Anyway, the building manager had the air conditioning cranked up as high as it would go because of the temperature outside. However, we were all absolutely freezing to death inside the building. The A/C was running non-stop and it was so cold in there that it was actually a relief to go outside where it was hot. I am happy to be working from home now because I can control the thermostat unit myself most of the time! I set it wherever I want it.
