My family and I go to the lake house every weekend during the summer season.
My dad used to come with us when we were kids, but now he spends more time at the office than he does with the family. I used to get upset about his absence, but now I understand that he has to work hard to give us all the things that we want and need. Last weekend, Dad decided to join us for a rare three day weekend. Everything was perfect until the ductless AC unit failed. Nobody saw the failure coming, because we have never experienced any issues with the ductless AC in the past. It quit suddenly and didn’t cool any more. My dad was furious because the AC unit stopped working and he became angry. He got into a fight with my mom and she left to go home early. My brother and I drove our own car, so we stayed at the lake house with Dad. He called a repair service to come fix the ductless AC unit. After they repaired the damage which was actually minor, my dad had to drive back home to apologize to my mom. I didn’t know if they would come back to the lake house or not, so my brother and I were both surprised when they came walking through the door with laughter and smiles. My dad was really mean to my mom and I was a little shocked that she forgave the guy so easily for being a total jerk. My mom would have grounded me for a week if I talked to her like that.
