I had spent our last four years of university going to a technical university for automotive repairs.
I wanted to go out and work in an auto shop and service cars that had either mechanical or body disfigurement.
I number one working with body disfigurement. Being able to pull out the dents and do custom painting to make the old automobile look like new again, was what I enjoyed the most. My Dad consistently got the newspaper in the afternoons, so I decided to look in the paper for nearby auto shop careers. After a couple afternoons of looking, I realized how foolish I was from the start. I sat down and worked out our resume of everything I had done during university, and the professional names of the few auto body shops whom I had worked for during our apprenticing. I provided our resume on several popular websites that helped people get hired. I made our option to have our professional resume put into several strange areas, and I focused on auto shop careers. Two weeks later, thankfully, I got a PC call from one of the largest auto shops in our area. They wanted someone who definitely could do automobile detailing, window tints, and auto painting. She asked if I was sure that I could do custom automobile graphics. I texted him pictures of some of our automobile graphics, and that’s when she provided myself and others a task even before both of us met. I went into the local auto shop a week later and talked to the owner, whom I had talked to on the PC. She said I impressed the shop even more than I had on the PC.
