I enjoyed the flexibility that I found from being able to plan my schedule, from the comfort of my beach house.
At the start, I was genuinely working from the living room table, as I knew that our modern situation would be temporary. But after a few weeks, my manager sent me an email indicating that my position would be remote permanently. That meant I had to get a convenient area to task and to take zoom calls. My friend advised me to build a backyard beach house office. Once the office was built, the only thing left to do was how to heat and cool this area. Putting more air ducts would have been luxurious and time-consuming. Not to mention I didn’t want to sacrifice the only window in the office for an ugly window unit. My friend advised me to go with a ductless mini-split for my Heating & A/C needs. A ductless mini-split operates in a similar fashion to a traditional Heating & A/C system. However the flow of coolant between the condenser and evaporator can be reversed when you need to heat the room in the Winter, or cool the room in the Summer. Inputting the ductless mini-split was straightforward, and only required a three inch hole for all of the necessary components. Thanks to this ductless mini-split, I now have a comfortable space to work, take zoom calls, and even meet with business contacts.
