We took a road trip up to the mountains and rented a lake house for the weekend last summer. The people I was with and I packed up my vehicle with fishing poles and hiking boots, plus enough food to last us through the weekend. After I and the people I was with arrived at the endpoint, we went for a hike as soon as we were at it. The scenery in the mountains was beautiful, and we saw lots of birds and wildlife. It was in the middle of the summer, so we were all extra careful to drink lots of water during our hike. But after we hiked for a while, I started to feel very dizzy in the heat, so we decided to head back toward the cabin. I was dripping with sweat profusely, and trying to stay in the shade as much as possible, despite the fact that I was feeling overwhelmingly hot. As soon as we got back to the cabin, I laid on the bed, and my friend turned on the cooling system as freezing as it would go. The moment I felt the cool air from the cooling system, my nausea started to subside, and after two hours with the cooling system, I stopped sweating. As I lay on the bed under the cooling system, I began to feel much better. If it wasn’t for the powerful cooling system in the cabin, I could have suffered from heat exhaustion or worse. After that, the rest of the weekend went well. I was still able to spend time in the woods with my friends, but I made sure to stay in the shade and occasionally use the cooling system. The next time I book a lake house in the woods, I will make sure it has a powerful cooling system.
