It wasn’t my idea really to build a dwelling at this age.
In fact, my husband & I had made plans for the better section of a decade to move south when we chose to retire.
We were honestly ready to embrace all that Heating & Air Conditioning appliance cooling down there & live out our lives on a golf course. That didn’t happen as my husband passed away in a jiffy just a year prior to retiring. When he died, we had already replaced the Heating & Air Conditioning equipment in our dwelling in order to get it on the market & get a nice price. When he died, I sort of was just in a fog for around 6 months. Finally, I started piecing my life together & made the choice to sell the house. I was stunned to find myself in the middle of a bidding war for our family home. Honestly, all the improvements like the Heating & Air Conditioning equipment made a pretty crucial difference in getting that price for the dwelling. I had no desire to move south to the Heating & Air Conditioning cooling separate from my husband & preferred to stay close to family. My son brought up the whole idea of building our own small dwelling. And it ended up making sense. He absolutely was instrumental in helping me plan, design & get the thing built. I’m so appreciative because otherwise, I wouldn’t have ended up with a geothermal heat pump in my current dwelling. This thing is entirely efficient & cheap to operate. But my favorite section is the radiant floor heating. I prefer it as I can actually prefer being barefoot separate from moving south to all of that Heating & Air Conditioning cooling comfort.
