Last summer, some friends and I decided to take a road trip up to the mountains, and rent a cabin for the weekend.

We packed my car up with fishing poles, hiking boots, and enough food to last us through the weekend, and hit the road.

We arrived at our destination in several hours, and as soon as we got there, took off for a hike. The scenery in the mountains was beautiful, and we saw lots of birds and wildlife. It was in the middle of the summer, so we were extra careful to drink lots of water during our hike. After we hiked for a while, I started to feel dizzy in the heat, so we headed back toward the cabin. I was sweating profusely, and careful to stay in the shade, but I was feeling overwhelmingly hot. As soon as we got back to the cabin, I laid on the bed, and my friend turned on the air conditioner as cold as it would go. As soon as I felt the cool air from the air conditioner my nausea began to subside, and after fifteen minutes in the air conditioner I stopped sweating, and as I laid on the bed under the air conditioner, I started to feel better. If it wasn’t for the powerful air conditioner in the cabin, I could have suffered from heat exhaustion or worse. The rest of the weekend went by smoothly, I was still able to enjoy my time in the woods with my friends, but taking care to stay in the shade and occasionally the air conditioner. Next time I book a cabin in the woods, I will make sure that it has a powerful air conditioner.
