The idea that I was going to ever be a homeowner began to fade when I hit 40.

  • The cost of a downpayment just kept getting further and further out of reach.

I don’t make a whole lot of money so can only save so much and at the rate I was saving, it just didn’t look too good for me being able to afford a home. So I sort of relegated myself to renting and dealing with not so great heating and cooling among other conditions of renting. Then, I got a piece of registered mail that changed my life. An aunt of mine had died and left her house and property to me. I had to call the lawyer to make sure I wasn’t getting punked. But it was true, I was finally a homeowner. There were many things that had to be addressed in my newly acquired home. The biggest and most immediate issue was the heating and cooling. The house had sat empty for a number of years when my aunt went to a retirement home. So not only was the HVAC equipment dated, it barely even worked at all. It all was junk, even the ductwork. After consulting with the HVAC professionals, I decided to go another way when it came to heating and cooling. I chose to use a ductless multi split for heating and cooling my home. It certainly was the more cost effective choice when it came to HVAC equipment replacement. And I loved the fact that I could have the ductless heat pumps work in concert or I could do more of a zone controlled HVAC effect. I’m so impressed and pleased with the ductless heat pump that I recommend them to anybody who will listen.
