I can’t believe that my parents finally decided to purchase a central a/c after all of us moved out.

As kids, we never had a central a/c. It wasn’t that my parents couldn’t afford a central a/c, but my parents had a lot of cash, and they could afford anything that they wanted to afford. Instead, they believed that a central a/c was a big waste of cash, but neither of them had central a/cs as children, and they didn’t understand why all of us wanted a central a/c. Even though all my friends had central a/cs, they believed that owning a central a/c would make someone lazy and weak. If you had a central a/c, you might be tempted to stay inside all day rather than enjoy the lovely weather outside! We begged our parents for years to purchase a central a/c, but they refused. Finally, we realized that they would never own a central a/c, as we decided to hold our peace and live without a central a/c. Therefore, you can entirely understand why we were so mad when my parents purchased a central a/c right after the last kid moved out. As soon as all of us all moved out, they renovated their home and hired an HVAC supplier to install a central a/c. After years of trash-talking about the central a/c, they bought one as soon as they could. Thankfully, I have my own central a/c now.
