The kids that I babysit are real monsters sometimes.
They are constantly getting into trouble for one reason or another. Last week whenever I was over there on Monday night, the air conditioning wasn’t working correctly. I couldn’t figure out why the A/C system was running, but there was no cold air coming out of the air conditioning vent on the floor in their bedroom. It was so hot and stuffy in there that I didn’t even want to stay in their room to read them a bedtime story. I did not want to put them down for bed because it was so hot in there, but they were tired and they needed to go to bed. They were acting crazy and I just wanted to be done with them. I thought about opening the windows, but I could hear the air conditioning system running throughout the rest of the house. I didn’t want to waste money on their cooling bills by opening the windows, but I didn’t really know what else to do. When I walked over to the window to open it, that’s when I noticed that the curtains by the air conditioning vent weren’t even moving at all. I looked down at the air vent and saw that there was something sticking out of it. It looked like fur! I was scared to touch it at first but then I noticed that it was blue fur, so I figured that it wasn’t a real animal. I don’t know of any animals with blue fur. I jiggled the air vent cover off and that’s when I noticed that these kids had shoved two of their stuffed animals down into the air vent! It was no wonder that the A/C wasn’t coming out in their room.
