My dad is coming to live with us starting next month and while I’m excited about having him here, I’m also a little bit apprehensive about it.
That’s because my dad loves the air conditioning more than anyone else that I have ever met.
We don’t usually have to use the central air conditioning all that much in our house because we aren’t really hot natured people. My dad, on the other hand, loves the air conditioning during the summer. Sometimes I think that he would actually run the A/C all year long if he could! So I’m a little bit concerned about the fact that he’s going to be living here with us during the summer. I don’t know if he is going to try and take over the thermostat unit while he is here or what. If he does, then our house is going to be absolutely freezing for the next three months and none of us are going to like that fact except for him! Not only that, but if he tries to run the cooling system himself, then the cooling bills for this year are going to be through the roof. I just don’t know if I can deal with that. However, I do want my dad to be comfortable so I don’t want to tell him that he can’t touch the thermostat settings, either! I’m at a loss for what to do, honestly. I hope that we can just find a happy medium with our air conditioning settings and that we can all just get along.
