We went over to our neighbor’s house to have dinner the other night and it was basically a nightmare. Not only did they have a weird cat that kept bothering me, but they also had the air conditioning settings way too high for the temperature outside. I hate cats, first of all. I think they are sneaky and evil. I am definitely a dog person, that’s for sure. Secondly, the weather that day was super hot. I had been outside working in the sun all day and the temperatures were in the nineties basically that whole day. Well, needless to say, I had been looking forward to going into the house and enjoying the nice, cool air conditioning for the evening. I was sadly surprised to find that the A/C in our neighbor’s house was basically non-existent. I actually started to think that it was hotter inside of their house than it was outside, and it was still hot out there! Dinner was okay, but the cat was so annoying, and all I could think of as I sat there sweating was that I would rather be at home in my own air conditioning. I appreciated the fact that they invited us over to dinner and everything, but I think I should just hold off on accepting any future dinner invitations until later in the fall or even the winter. I don’t do well whenever I don’t have proper air conditioning! Apparently, not having A/C puts me in a terrible mood and makes me want to kick cats under the table.
